Description

Break-Away Swivels give you invaluable protection when pulling either fiber optic or coaxial cable. These simple tools provide an inexpensive fracture point between the pulling line and cable, avoiding costly cable damage if the cable’s rated pulling capacity is exceeded. The swivel is machined from aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish for wear resistance. A steel thrust washer and bushing provide smooth rotation under load and help to keep twisting forces from reaching the cable. The design of the swivel incorporates a replaceable tension bolt that joins the barrel eye and swivel body. The bolt separates when pulling loads on the cable reach /- 5%. The damaged bolt can then be replaced in seconds using an Allen wrench (included) and a screwdriver. The swivel and bolt head are color-coded for fast load identification. 7/8″ diameter, 4 5/8″ long.
